An established specialist engineering contractor is looking to appoint a number of Electrical QA/QC Engineers, from mid-level through to Lead, to support the delivery of major mission-critical data centre projects across Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering some of Europe’s most technically challenging projects, working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a quality-driven environment.
The Role
As an Electrical QA/QC Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring electrical installations are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors, you will inspect, verify, and document electrical installation works while supporting the successful delivery of complex data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect LV and MV cable installations, glanding, terminations, containment, and associated electrical works to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Record inspections and quality documentation using bespoke QA and BIM management systems.
- Review and maintain QA documentation to support project milestones and client handover requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve quality-related issues and technical queries.
- Support corrective and preventative actions arising from inspections, audits, and snagging activities.
- Assist with first-of-kind installations, mock-ups, and quality demonstrations to promote best practice across projects.
- Participate in weekly and monthly quality audits, inspections, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor QA activities to ensure all inspections and documentation are completed in line with project programmes.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent quality standards are achieved.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Electrical QA/QC, Electrical Quality Inspector, or similar quality-focused electrical role.
- Experience working on large-scale construction, industrial, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data centre projects.
- A strong understanding of electrical installation standards and quality inspection processes.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
- Previous experience mentoring or supervising site teams would be advantageous.
