Position Purpose: Inspector I plays a crucial role in performing high-level inspections and ensuring equipment meets established quality and regulatory standards. This position involves conducting detailed inspections, documenting findings, and supporting the inspection process. The role requires a strong understanding of inspection techniques, independent judgment, and contribution to procedural improvements.
Essential Functions:
Perform thorough inspections of equipment using established procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Accurately document inspection results, noting any issues or deviations. Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings.
Assist with the coordination and scheduling of inspections. Provide support to the team by handling specific inspection tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of inspection activities.
Oversee the preparation of equipment for inspections, including ensuring it is properly cleaned and detailed to meet presentation standards.
Engage in training programs to stay updated on inspection practices and equipment operation. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections.
Contribute to the development and refinement of inspection procedures and practices. Provide feedback based on inspection experiences to enhance process efficiency.
Utilize relevant technology systems and tools effectively.
Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support team goals and operational needs.
Significant experience in inspection or quality assurance roles, with a solid understanding of inspection techniques and industry standards.
Proficiency in performing detailed inspections and using relevant technology.
Strong analytical abilities to assess inspection data and identify issues.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and interact with team members.
Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and contribute to process improvements.
Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements related to equipment inspections.
Physical/Travel Requirements:
Normal office conditions; occasional lift up to 50 lbs.
The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and basic office equipment.
Outside weather conditions.
Incumbent is required to drive company owned or personal vehicle for on-site visits.
Required travel with some overnight stays.
