This role is part of Alcon’s Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, a team that ensures our products are in compliance with global, local, and internal regulations and meet the strictest standards of quality as we help people see brilliantly.
The Associate I, Quality Control Lab – Chemistry (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for conducting chemical analyses and maintaining lab equipment while ensuring compliance with SOP and regulatory requirements. You will apply technical knowledge, attention to detail, and reliability. Specifics include:
Apply technical knowledge to perform tasks and support project goals in the Quality Control Lab – Chemistry
Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses
Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with SOP and regulatory requirements
Ensure a safe workplace and adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGxP) and SOPs
Manage chemistry lab services
Follow procedures with decision-making authority, requiring job-related training
Support lab operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance
Integrate lab results into the manufacturing process, driving problem-solving and innovation through scientific principles
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP) regulations by strictly following SOPs, maintaining accurate and complete documentation, and ensuring rigorous quality control
Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements
Contribute to the overall compliance of the organization
Commit to continuous improvement in operations

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
This is a Sun – Thurs role ( Hours would be Sun 8a to 5p and M – Thu 2p – 11p)
