Quality Technician – 2nd Shift

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled Quality Technician to join our team. This role supports the Volume Manufacturing Operations by performing inspections, audits, and data analysis to ensure part compliance with customer specifications. The Quality Technician plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, identifying root causes of non-conformance, and driving continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), using PC-DMIS software, to perform dimensional inspection of production parts and assemblies.
Use a variety of manual measurement tools—including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges—to verify component dimensions.
Perform in-process, incoming, and final inspections as per control plans and quality standards.
Conduct routine floor audits to ensure compliance with quality procedures and proper documentation.
Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers and Production Supervisors to collect and analyze data for process improvement initiatives.
Document and communicate non-conformances and assist in corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Support continuous improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
Enforce adherence to all company and industry quality standards across the shop floor.
Help train operators and other personnel on quality procedures and inspection techniques as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records and calibration logs.
Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years of experience in quality control or precision inspection in a manufacturing environment (preferably in CNC/machining).
Proficient in operating CMM equipment and interpreting results (PC-DMIS).
Solid blueprint reading skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across departments.
Technically proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and able to input/report data electronically.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Self-motivated, quality-driven, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Able to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally in a manufacturing setting.

Compensation & Schedule:
Pay: $19.88 – $22.24/hr.
Schedule: Full-time position; 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
