Quality Assurance Specialist Jobs in Bethesda, MD at West 4th Strategy
Seeking a high-energy and experienced quality control chemist with a combination of technical and laboratory experience to help lead the growth of our plant expansion. Emulsion experience is a plus. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends.
Quality Control Chemists will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring activities in the Quality Control Department designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Will be relied on to conduct both QC & R&D, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Then plant operates 24-5, so a willingness to work long hours and weekends (on rotation) will be expected during busy periods.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Direct supervision of employees and activities in the quality control department and in the performance of the plant lab testing and analysis.
Develop and drive a high-level quality strategy for the manufacturing site to facilitate compliance to internal and external (customer) requirements.
Work with plant/facility personnel to develop best practices and replicate throughout organization,
Interface with customer quality management.
Manage QC related supplies and consumables
Required Skills:
Bachelor of Science in chemistry or related science degree.
4+ years of experience in Quality Control and Analytic Lab experience.
Lab Supervisory experience.
Strong analytic skills and troubleshooting skills
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 55 lbs.
Sit/walk/stand/squat/kneel for extended period of time.
Able to grip/grasp/pinch/reach overhead.
Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
