Quality Assurance Specialist Jobs in Toronto, Canada at Executive Talent on Demand
MoD is on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Specialist, the successful candidate will oversee the quality aspects of high to critical complexity bids, projects, and products. This is a 6-month contract hybrid opportunity for a leading client of ours in the GTA.
Key Duties:
Own project quality and ensure customer quality requirements are understood and met
Perform audits and compliance checks against internal processes, contracts, and standards
Participate in and approve/reject project gate reviews and milestones
Write and execute Project QA and Software QA Plans
Coach project teams on QA processes and risk management
Conduct root cause analysis, lessons learned, and process improvements
Prepare quality reports and provide visibility to leadership
Support customer audits and internal audits when required
Raise red flags when there are unresolved compliance or risk issues
Must Haves:
3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering/System/Software Development
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, etc.)
Strong understanding of QA practices and Quality Management Systems
Ability to work across multiple disciplines (Engineering, Safety, PMO)
Experience in complex system environments with certification constraints (e.g., Transportation, Aerospace, Medical Devices, Nuclear, Cybersecurity).
Hourly Rate Range: $35-$40
