Job Description
Quality Analyst I
The Quality Analyst I supports AFNA with Reporting, System Processes and Data Management surrounding Quality. This position will provide ongoing analysis of business system information and provide key information to support effective and efficient Quality and Technical functions. This position has responsibility for ensuring process and data integrity and accuracy while working with cross functional areas to implement corrective actions. The Quality Analyst I has the knowledge and abilities to perform the below responsibilities, including self-driven projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Collaborates in definition, design and reporting of Quality Metrics and KPIs
Works closely with business functions to develop, deliver, and maintain reporting and analysis related to quality management
Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
Assist TCH/QA Manager with accurate and timely quality metrics
Subject Matter Expert on Quality related System Processes in SAP/AIMS/Power BI and Reporting
Supports troubleshooting of systemic quality process issues and facilities resolution
Leads assigned quality projects and works collaboratively across the organization to identify and recommend ways to streamline processes and tools
Analyze data to help the TCH/QA Manager to develop recommendations for process improvements to increase quality integrity
Initiate, plan, and execute Quality Data maintenance activities while understanding the downstream impacts to all departments
Maintains and develops standard work to support system controls and procedures to ensure integrity of the data used in reporting and decision-making
Supports knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer efforts
Assist with quality complaint investigations by determining root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preparing Customer Corrective Action Response (CCARs).
Coordinate customer and supplier complaints by verifying claim legitimacy, collecting samples, assigning root cause and corrective action responsibilities, issuing scrap/return authorizations, and managing payment releases all within the SAP system.
Work in conjunction with the training specialist to develop and implement Food Safety, Food Defense, Allergen, and Internal Auditor training programs, including post-training written examinations to assess comprehension.
Lead the Food Safety Team by scheduling and facilitating monthly meetings, reporting key internal and external information, and guiding the team in achieving annual food safety objectives.
Maintain the calibration program for all laboratory instruments and equipment, including scheduling service, shipping instruments, coordinating with contractors, managing calibration software, and retaining all relevant documentation and accreditations.
Manage the Internal Auditing Program by scheduling audits, identifying findings, maintaining the finding Action Item Registry (AIR), and conducting audits personally as necessary.
Oversee the Environmental Monitoring Program, including quarterly sample collection for microbiological analysis (Swab, Ambient Air, & Compressed Air), maintaining records, and performing statistical analysis across all manufacturing departments.
Supervise quarantined and returned materials, issuing timely dispositions to support inventory control and product integrity.
Administer the online Document Control System by reviewing outdated documents, creating new materials, and removing obsolete content to ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage the HACCP Program by scheduling and leading annual reviews, updating and developing documentation, verifying compliance with production processes, and analyzing quarterly trim-event data for trends.
Oversee the Food Defense Program, ensuring security measures and documentation remain current and effective.
Prepare documentation and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with FSSC 22000, while actively monitoring changes in FSSC and ISO standards.
Coordinate and participate in customer audits, ensuring readiness and full compliance with quality system requirements.
Coordinate preparation for IMS audits by reviewing annual production records, tracking updates to the PMO (Pasteurized Milk Ordinance), maintaining accurate 21 CFR documentation, and facilitating on-site audit execution.
Manage the Pest Control Program by coordinating with outside contractor, maintaining service records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct internal inspections to verify program effectiveness, address potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field and 1-3 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling 5-7 years
FSSC 22000 or related food safety experience
Strong analytical and communication skills with acute attention to detail
Demonstrates high level of proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage large amounts of data from multiple systems.
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Power BI.
Experience with developing and maintaining processes and tools.

Compensation
The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $53,600 to $67,000; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $53,600 to $80,400 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
