Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Quality to lead our quality assurance and quality control initiatives. This pivotal role will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze processes, manage projects, and ensure the highest levels of product quality through effective quality audits and inspections.
Duties
Supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in inspecting materials, tools, workpieces, and products, such as metal stock, stampings, cutting tools, gauges, machine parts, and assembled units for conformance to specifications, products, inspection instruments, and procedures.
Responsibility and authority for implementing and maintaining the company’s ISO9002 and QS9000 programs.
Performs function of QS9000 Management Representative.
Responsible for maintaining the quality system to ensure all products manufactured meet customer specifications, achieving superior quality and reliability levels.
Develops and implements a supplier quality program to ensure conformity of purchased material.
Manage the revision and updates of the Quality Control Manual.
Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and Company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
Company representative for all customers and register audits.
Coordinates all sample submissions of new products and engineering changes.
Responsible for assisting the Sales and Marketing dept. in the development, application, and maintenance of quality assurance systems for processing materials into finished products.
Responsible for final product quality and acceptance of all production parts to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Establish good working relationships with customers to insure goodwill and trust.
Essential contact with all levels of customer organizations.
Experience
5 years of proven experience in a leadership role within quality assurance or quality control environments.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
Customer interaction concerning defect resolution and customer satisfaction, including 8-D corrective action, internal corrective actions and related quality assurance practices as they apply to individual situations.
Strong knowledge of quality systems, including QA/QC methodologies and practices.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in identifying areas for improvement.
Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and presenting findings clearly.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
