Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cypress Automation Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in web application test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing, and basic exposure to AI-driven testing tools or Generative AI concepts. The candidate will work closely with developers and QA teams to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Identify, report, and track software defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure product quality.
- Optimize test execution and improve automation coverage.
- Utilize AI-powered testing tools or Generative AI to improve test creation, maintenance, and execution efficiency.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and testing activities.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in QA Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or REST APIs.
- Knowledge of version control using Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize, KaneAI, Copilot for Testing) or Generative AI applications in software testing.
- Basic knowledge of Playwright or Selenium.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience in AI-assisted test case generation and maintenance.
- Understanding of prompt engineering for QA use cases.
- Knowledge of performance or security testing concepts.
