What does a day-in-the-life look like?
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your day begins by reviewing incoming shipments, checking product quality, and classifying inventory based on inspection results. You’ll coordinate with the distribution center and commercial teams to ensure accurate system entries and proper product flow. Throughout the day, you’ll monitor repack operations, audit quality reports, and make adjustments to grower shipments based on yield. You’ll also support shipping and receiving by verifying documentation, resolving inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. As the day wraps up, you’ll ensure all reports are updated and prepare the warehouse for the next operational cycle.
Location: McAllen, Texas
What does success look like?
Warehouse: Support logistics and warehouse operations by optimizing shipping, receiving, and inventory processes, while ensuring accurate system records and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Fruit Quality: Classify inventory based on QC reports, approve or reject products, audit repack processes, and adjust shipments based on repack performance or yield.
Shipping: Pick, pack, and label orders per customer specs, verify outbound shipments meet quality and timing requirements, and maintain accurate documentation.
Receiving: Classify incoming shipments, verify accuracy in quantity, condition, and documentation, and report discrepancies to ensure quality and timely delivery.
What you will bring:
Background Academic: Technical degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in similar positions.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and familiarity with control processes, especially in fresh fruit handling.
