TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a QA / QC Test Analyst / Engineer

Pay Rate Range: $50 – $62 per hour

Duration : This is a 4 month contract located in Toronto, ON/ Hybrid (3 days/ week)

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Java or Python.
• Build automated tests for RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and complex data formats (JSON, XML).
• Validate functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise banking applications.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
• Identify, debug, and resolve defects, contributing to system stability, security, and performance.
• Maintain source code repositories and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Commit to continuous learning and innovation, staying current with emerging tools, technologies, and QE methodologies.

NOTE: Looking for Automation Testers only. Not looking for Manual Testing.

MUST HAVE Skills/Experience/Competencies:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of recent hands‑on experience in API automation, preferably using: Java, RestAssured, TestNG / Cucumber
• Deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems testing.
• 5+ years of Experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and modern SDLC practices.
• 5+ years of recent Exposure to contract testing and service integrations.
• 1+ years of experience applying AI‑assisted testing and quality analytics in a pragmatic, value‑driven way.
• 3+ years of experience with Locust Performance testing tool.

Nice to have:

1. Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or Azure or AWS).
2. Awareness of Web automation (Playwright) and Mobile automation (Appium with Python) for end‑to‑end quality oversight is highly preferred
3. Previous experience with Top 5 banks or FI is nice to have.

Education:

• Post-secondary education in a related field.

Candidate Review & Selection

– 1 Round of interview

– In-person with Test lead / Test Architect – 60mins.

• Technical Assessment using code (Java / Python) will be part of the interview.
• Behavioral based questions. Need to be able to articulate the projects with Real live examples.
