Role Description The Quality Assurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting test activities across web, mobile, and game development projects to ensure that deliverables meet defined quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining test plans and test cases, performing manual and, where applicable, automated testing, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying fixes in collaboration with development teams. The specialist will work closely with developers, project managers, and designers to clarify requirements, validate features, and support release readiness. Additional tasks include contributing to process improvements, supporting internal quality audits, and helping maintain consistent quality metrics and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices, with the ability to design and execute effective testing approaches.
- Experience with Quality Management and Quality Auditing to support continuous improvement and compliance with internal standards.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or analogous quality frameworks, and the ability to apply structured quality principles to software development.
- Hands-on experience testing web, mobile, or game applications, including functional, regression, usability, and performance testing.
- Ability to write clear test cases, defect reports, and test documentation using common QA and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with basic test automation concepts and scripting is a plus.
- Interest in or exposure to the mobile, web, or game development industry is highly beneficial.
