We have an immediate opening for a full-time Quality Supervisor

Located in Brooklyn, Ohio, MPC Plating was founded as a metal plating operation. Branching out into plastic plating in 1985, MPC now plates exclusively on plastics. ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Supervisor will be assisting the Quality Manager in all areas of Quality. The Quality Supervisor will help ensure all quality system activities and quality of product are in accordance with customer and MPC Plating standards.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the employees of the containment area, including secondary inspection
Drive continual quality improvements through the organization with team training while monitoring the quality system trends using process control methodologies, improvement actions
Serves as liaison between Plastics Production and Management with consistent daily interaction between Production and Plating regarding non-conforming parts
Facilitates PPAP action items in conjunction with the QA Manager, including but not limited to the development of Control Plans, Process Flow, and FEMA’s
Responsible for overseeing the Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Non-Conformance processes, ensuring proper root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed
Performs plant-wide audits on quality-related activities and provides improvement plans on findings
Responds formally to customer concerns and issues through offsite visits or formal written responses
Actively participates inthe resolution of product quality problems through interface with operations, sales, and customer representatives
Coordinate IATF Certification effort
Participates in projects as they relate to quality and associated customer satisfaction issues
Other duties as assigned

Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience:

Quality experience, preferably in an automotive and/or plating environment
Proficient in multiple technical disciplines, analytics, and assurance techniques
Knowledge of IATF16949 quality systems and standard operating procedures
Strong verbal and written communication and team-building skills
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Skills:

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop personnel, particularly with project and cross-functional teams
Ability to cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
