First Line Risk & Controls – Quality Assurance – Corporate Banking

The purpose of this role is to support the continued scalable and controlled growth of the business through a targeted Quality Assurance (QA) program. This role would suit an experienced Risk / QA Specialist or an Internal Auditor looking to transition into a business-focused role.

This exciting opportunity has arisen to add significant value by owning and driving a crucial component of the control framework. The QA work will focus on the Corporate Banking business of DBS Bank Limited, London Branch.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of and be accountable for the established Corporate Banking elements of the QA program.

Perform and support other elements of the wider Branch QA program.

Provide remediation recommendations and process solutions to improve implementation and execution of processes.

Collaborate with internal departments including Legal & Compliance, Finance, Credit, Operations, and First Line Business Management.

Liaise with stakeholders across the Group to ensure benchmarking of best practice.

Provide regular reporting and updates on progress and early notification of any issues identified.

Keep abreast of Policy/Standard/Regulatory developments.

Produce and socialize reports on completed QA reviews.

Raise and communicate key findings to senior stakeholders.

Identify themes and trends across review findings.

Manage lessons learned and reinforcing communications/training requirements.

Supplement reports with recommendations for process enhancement and continuous improvement.

Requirements

3-7 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry.

Familiarity with Corporate Banking.

Background in second or third line of defence.

Knowledge of key financial service regulations and the overall regulatory environment.

Ability to work autonomously.

Excellent presentation skills.

Excellent report writing skills.

Excellent MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Understanding of the FCA Conduct Rules.
