About the role
We’re looking for a Quality & Technical Technologist to support New Product Development and delivery, ensuring products meet internation market’s safety, testing, and compliance requirements from concept through to launch. You’ll manage NPD/EPD projects including product testing activity, review and maintain technical and compliance documentation, and support post-launch compliance to ensure delivering safe, compliant products to international markets.
Key responsibilities
- Support New Product Development by advising on relevant markets’ safety, testing, and compliance requirements from concept through to launch.
- Manage NPD/EPD projects, ensure all technical and quality relevant activities fulfilling requirements within timeframe that includes oversighting product testing & manufacturing quality, working closely with suppliers/factories and 3rd party to confirm products meeting relevant international/market regulations/requirements.
- Review product samples, packaging, and artwork to confirm safety, quality, and respective regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation and compliance records, including certification, test reports and declarations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, suppliers and 3rd party to support efficient product development and timely shipment release.
- Manage post-launch compliance, tracking customer response, carry out investigations in product quality or safety issues and product improvement activities
- Keep up to date technical knowledge of manufacturing and global legislation current through ongoing learning and training.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a Technologist, product compliance, or product safety role, ideally within health and beauty categories.
- Experience in projects management, ensuring activities adhering to agreed time lime line and effectively engaging key stakeholders
- Understanding of product testing, ability to interpret test reports, and compile compliance documentation
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and packaging requirements, including symbols and mandatory labelling would be an asset
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to communicate effectively with overseas counterparts, customers, suppliers, factories, and test laboratories.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to continually develop technical knowledge and regulatory understanding.
