Quality Assurance Specialist

A Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products, services, or processes meet established quality standards and customer expectations. They develop and execute test plans, conduct inspections, and identify defects or areas for improvement. The QA Specialist also collaborates with various teams to implement corrective actions, track quality metrics, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of quality control processes and industry standards are essential for success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards (ISO 9001 & AS9100).
  • Maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure companywide compliance.
  • Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to the team members that covers systems, procedures, and core processes.
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing quality issues.
  • Observe production operations and make suggestions for improvements to minimize errors and defects in products, following Nonconformance procedures.
  • Maintain & create operation manuals and training materials that outline operation processes and any updates to procedures or practices within the manufacturing or production process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods and tools.
  • Superb computer skills, including database management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail and decision-making skills.
  • Must be Highly knowledgeable in industry standards, for ISO 9001, impacting inspection and quality control techniques and procedures
  • Excellent Time Management and follow through.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, with a 30-minutes required lunch.

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
