The position is responsible for performing accurate and timely audits of various deposit account transactions including, but not limited to:

  • Deposit Account Openings
  • Deposit Account Modifications
  • Certificate Maturity and Renewal Review
  • Address Verifications
  • Statement Validations
  • Supporting staff with quality assurance resolutions
  • Spool Log review

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate documentation and archival standards are maintained for all audits performed.
  • Provides support for the collection and processing of documents for flood, insurance, taxes, and private mortgage insurance.
  • Familiarity with tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality assurance (QA).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Performs reviews of daily reports from loan servicing systems to accurately identify and communicate findings.
  • Works closely with other departments to remediate any findings.
  • Ensures accuracy in all points of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data collection, Audits, and reporting requirements for Residential, Equity, Consumer, and Commercial business segments.
  • Performs other administrative duties related to loan servicing such as Synergy scanning, Reporting, GL Balancing, and ACES QA reviews.
  • Assists in completing research and drafting audit responses for quality control/compliance audit findings.
  • Adheres to quality standards for consistent, high-quality service.
  • Ability to develop, drive and communicate with peers on tasks and goals.
  • Provides support to other functions within the department.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Required Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Three (3) years of experience in a financial institution and two (2) years’ experience in quality assurance, deposit operations, and/or lending operations required, or any combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of computers and standard Windows software applications. Ability to type 45 words per minute. Ability to perform 10-key accurately. Ability to read, write, speak, and use proper grammar in English. Ability to communicate in person, on the telephone, and through written business correspondence. Ability to interpret and analyze written reports, instructions, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to vendors, system owners regarding projects and organizational initiatives. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to make decision based on training, commonsense understanding, and guidelines. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply commonsense understanding when dealing with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand or sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is quiet. Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.

Experience:
