The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to work at our Mill Materials Management location in Fort Wayne, IN . The Quality Assurance Supervisor tests scrap metal materials and assists in ensuring products meet established quality standards and industry benchmarks.
Pay: $85,000 + based on experience
Shift/Schedule: Monday – Friday; travel required

Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will:

Supports safety and environmental initiatives including employee safety engagement, regulatory compliance and related training.
Develops, supports and coordinates operations personnel.
Ensures that tools and resources are well kept and available for use.
Plan, execute, and oversee product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables.
Assist operations by tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as environmental, and health and safety KPI’s.
Develops and maintains relationships with mill management, vendors and operations management.
Audits processes and inspects scrap products as necessary.
Runs KPI reports, analyzes data and utilizes information for better decision-making.
Investigates, develops and updates procedures to streamline processes to address quality issues in timely manner.
Trains leadership on quality assurance systems, policies, procedures and core processes.
Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Two to five years’ experience in Quality Assurance within the Metals Industry
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb in on and around equipment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Valid Driver’s License
Leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Familiar with ISO or other Quality Control processes
May be required to work evenings and weekends depending on business needs
Travel required
