Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical chemistry and toxicology testing, along with hands-on experience in test validation and instrument verification. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate, reliable test results that support clinical decision-making and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized tests in clinical chemistry and toxicology using automated and manual techniques.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and instrumentation (e.g., immunoassay, spectrophotometry, GC/MS, LC/MS).
Conduct method validation, instrument calibration, and quality control in accordance with CLIA, CAP, or other regulatory standards.
Collaborate with laboratory leadership on validation plans, documentation, and implementation of new tests and analyzers.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of test results, and participate in proficiency testing and continuing education.
Maintain complete and accurate records of laboratory work and follow safety and compliance protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a clinical lab setting with a focus on chemistry and toxicology.
Proven experience in test validation, instrument verification, and quality assurance processes.
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and middleware interfaces.
Experience working in high-throughput or reference laboratory settings.
Knowledge of regulatory standards such as CAP, CLIA, and FDA guidelines.

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
