QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR Jobs in Plant City, FL at Toufayan Bakery
Function:
Advanced knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards inspection and Cable/Wire Harness techniques, blueprint reading, along with the ability to train others to IPC requirements. Will provide inspection support in the areas of incoming quality control, internal first articles and in-process inspections in various production areas and qualified to train new employees.
Inspect Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and wire harnesses to assure conformance to engineering/Customer drawings and/or other documentation.
Document inspection results using manual and computer-based systems.
Identifying, documenting, and segregating non-conforming products, and communicating issues to relevant teams.
Interface with personnel within the quality department regarding work assignments and priorities.
Interface with personnel in engineering, manufacturing, and sales to resolve any issues relating to specifications or non-conformances.
Other duties as assigned by the department lead, supervisor or manager.
Working Conditions & Safety Concerns
Operates inspection/test equipment in a shop floor manufacturing environment. Works at a PC station as needed. Assists manufacturing personnel on the floor as needed. General safety practices followed, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel toe shoes as required.
Qualifications
Several years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, particularly with PCBs
Visual Inspection Skills under microscope or inspection tools to verify that a product is free of defects before installation in the next level of assembly or final distribution to the customer.
Hands-on experience with common inspection tools such as:
Micrometers, calipers, Multimeter.
Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in use of and/or programming of automated inspection tools, such as AOI, X-Ray vision inspection systems.
Experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
Education/Training Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (two years of college preferred)
15 plus years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a SMT quality control inspector/technician.
Must have IPC Certifications (IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, FOD)
