We are working on a Quality Supervisory role in Marion County, Florida with a growing food manufacturer.
They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented quality professional to lead and oversee quality assurance operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies to maintain operational excellence. Some quality supervisory experience in food manufacturing is needed.

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor critical control points (CCPs), ensure compliance with HACCP and SQF plans
Conduct regular line audits, including checks for product specifications, packaging, labeling, and weights
Verify allergen control processes to prevent cross-contamination
Ensure compliance with SQF, USDA, and other regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate and timely records for all quality checks, including temperature logs, pH testing, and batch reports
Document non-conformance and oversee corrective actions
Supervise and provide guidance to the QA team, ensuring tasks are performed effectively and efficiently
Train team members on GMPs, quality standards, and food safety systems
Perform pre-operational sanitation inspections and approve equipment for use
Coordinate sample collection and testing for microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis
Verify calibration of testing equipment and ensure proper functioning
Prepare daily quality assurance reports and provide updates to management
Collaborate with production, sanitation, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
3+ years of experience in quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment is mandatory
Supervisor or leadership experience in food manufacturing is required
Strong understanding of HACCP, HMP, and food safety regulations (SQF, FDA, USDA)
Proficiency in record keeping and report preparation
Ability to communicate effectively across departments
Problem solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement
HACCP certification preferred
PCQI Certification preferred
