Quality Engineering Supervisor – Manufacturing Industry
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team! This role requires a strong communicator who can effectively connect production teams with customer quality expectations. The ideal candidate will oversee the performance of our quality inspection team while also inspecting small metal and plastic components, identifying production issues, and driving improvements in product quality.
As a contract manufacturer, we specialize in precision-machined products made from a variety of metals and plastics, serving industries such as aerospace, defense, and commercial manufacturing. This position will be responsible for overseeing all quality-related processes in a ISO9001 and AS9100 certified environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS), including maintaining the Quality Manual, documentation, processes, and internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
Address quality issues that arise during manufacturing and shipping, working to resolve product-related concerns.
Evaluate nonconforming materials from internal production, customers, and suppliers, determining necessary actions through non-conformance and corrective action processes while communicating with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure that all inspection equipment and gauges are functional and properly maintained before use, as well as manage the calibration schedule for measurement tools.
Build and maintain strong relationships with both customers and suppliers to uphold quality standards and expectations.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of optical & video comparators, CMM, and Keyence measurement equipment is a plus.
Experience reviewing certifications for processing methods, including heat treatment, anodizing, plating, and passivation.
Familiarity with standard calibration methods for precision measuring tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of production and management.
