DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting in inputting data for all Head Start components to include education, social services, nutrition, training, parent involvement, volunteer services. Provide administrative support to each Head Start content area in preparation for monthly audits and/or reviews
Monitor Master file audits monthly for all three counties. Master file audits will be completed two times a year for all children before the end of May.
Conduct Health and Safety checks at all sites and input results into software monthly.
Assist with planning and coordination of Policy Council information and packets one week prior to the Policy Council meeting.
Become certified in Playground Safety and conduct playground safety checks for Head Start/ Early Head Start centers
Complete an active playground plan with Director’s
Meet and assist community partners at sites for health- related screenings
Conduct CACFP Monitoring site reviews
Complete monthly report to Director of Health and Nutrition Services
Audit CACFP enrollment forms
Assist with individually contacting Policy Council members and potential representatives.
Be knowledgeable of the Children’s Services guidelines and policy regulations.
Required to generate and submit paperwork for in-kind donations on a regular basis within the scope of job description.
When on social media, maintain a positive online presence.
All other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in early education, Social Work, or Compliance Monitoring field; or bachelor’s degree highly desired
Minimum of two-year experience in Head Start Program preferred
Working computer knowledge.
Ability to work with people.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Must possess or obtain current (within one year of expiration) CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions certifications
Pass drug screens and criminal history checks including national fingerprinting.
Provide proof of a physical, TB test, and Physician’s statement that provides evidence that the employee had no known communicable disease in an infectious state or physical or mental conditions, which could affect their ability to perform assigned duties yearly. These items are at the employee’s expense.
Licensed driver with proof of ongoing auto insurance coverage.
Bilingual/Spanish a plus.
Must have sufficient strength and flexibility (ability to stoop, bend, lift, squat, kneel, twist, etc.) to frequently be at a child’s level, sit on the floor with children, respond to a child’s quick and frequent movements.
