Seeking an entry level Quality Engineer I

As a Quality Engineer, the individual is responsible for monitoring internal systems and facilitating improvement projects to enhance the quality performance of the Business Unit. They evaluate the adequacy of various systems to protect against misprocessing and make recommendations for improvements. Additionally, they identify the necessary participants to review and decide the quality status of materials in question. The role also involves evaluating the adequacy of management and support-oriented processes at the site to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, International Management System (IMS), Customer Specific requirements (CSA), and both local and international documents. This position requires frequent decision-making and has a significant impact on the organization’s quality standards and overall performance.

Job Details:

Follow up on C1s, MRBs and CSC, and collect data for team.
Utilize existing data and feedback systems, trace lot genealogies, and focus on revealing sources of quality problems.
Participate in root cause analysis, containment measures and solutions through membership on Quality Task Forces.
Participate on internal quality projects to reduce QNs thus improving yield, on-time shipments, cycle time, variation, and operating costs. Monitor and assist in controlling the execution of assigned project tasks.
Monitor customer specifications and data and product acceptability.
Prepare various quality status reports.
Facilitate cross-site project closures.
Provide clear and concise responses to customers.
Organize and conduct scheduled internal audits of manufacturing and support processes.
Review approved documentation for compliance to external quality and environmental standards.
Report coming due and overdue actions to action owners.

Position Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, math, business or equivalent with knowledge of strong Quality Engineering concepts and understanding of engineering fundamentals and being able to apply them.
