Children and Family Services – Remote within ND – Quality Assurance Reviewer
This position can be located anywhere in the state of North Dakota.
Help the state’s child welfare system achieve its vision of “Safety, Permanency, and Well-Being” as a Quality Assurance Reviewer with ND Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
As a QA Reviewer , you will review and analyze child welfare services provided to children and families throughout the state to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. You’ll talk with families and children impacted, as well as with agencies providing services. Based on data and interviews, you’ll complete an assessment, assign a rating, and write a concise statement supporting the given rating. You will utilize several online and software programs, such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and the Online Management System. As a member of the QA Unit, you will participate in ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts within the Child and Family Services section to foster practice improvement.
To be effective in this position , you must be disciplined, objective, and a team player. QA reviews must be completed within a specified time frame, so the ability to stay focused and productive is critical. You must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships while working independently and within a team. You must be able to set personal feelings aside and rely on the data to determine a rating. And most importantly, you see problems as opportunities for improvement rather than as failures.
To be considered for this position , you must have a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, or criminal justice; and three (3) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child welfare case manager or worker in a collaborative human service agency. Child Welfare certification is preferred. A master’s degree in one of the above fields may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement.

Location : Team ND supports a blended workplace model which embraces home-based, remote employees. This position may work from home anywhere within the state of North Dakota. Candidates throughout North Dakota are welcome to apply. Travel to a team meeting twice per year will be expected.
