Summary:
The Quality Assurance Tech role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software through rigorous testing processes. This position requires a blend of manual and automated testing skills, with an emphasis on exploratory testing and scenario design.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing, including scenario design, exploratory testing, and testing of edge cases.
- Write mid-level code in any language, enumerate test scenarios, and engage in overall problem-solving.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Required Skills:
- 3-6 years of experience in testing.
- 3 years of experience with any object-oriented programming (OOP) language or scripting language.
- Proficiency in scripting — capable of reading code, writing basic scripts, and debugging from logs/stack traces.
- Experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Coding skills in an object-oriented language (Java/Python preferred).
- Ability to independently enumerate and design test scenarios.
- Basic UI automation experience (Selenium or similar).
Preferred Skills:
- API testing experience.
- Familiarity with any test framework (JUnit, TestNG, Pytest, etc.).
