Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lab Technician to help support our quality manager. The ideal candidate will have a background in physical testing and testing by QC procedures. Experience in the plastics industry is preferred but not required. The Lab Technician will be responsible for testing and analyzing production samples to ensure the products meet their specifications. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing and analysis procedures for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
Implement and maintain process control measures to minimize variability and ensure consistent product quality.
Test products per ISO/ASTM methods for plastics, injection mold materials, and extrude various polymer materials.
Collaborate with the production team to drive process improvements and corrective actions based on quality data analysis.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, quality standards, and testing requirements.
Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in quality control/lab technician role, preferably in the plastics or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of quality control procedures, testing methodologies, and statistical process control.
Experience with injection molding or extrusion in thermoplastics.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Color design experience preferred but not required.
Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
