Legacy Staffing has partnered with an industry leader, in manufacturing high-performance sealing solutions. Looking for qualified candidates for 1st and 2nd shift positions in their Wind Division.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our Wind Division. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards and specifications before they are shipped to customers. This role involves inspections, testing, and documentation, in compliance with ISO 9000, AS9100, AIG APQP. Inspector will work closely with production team to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring the highest level of product integrity.

Shift: 1st Shift (Garfield Heights), 2nd Shift (Brecksville)

Responsibilities

Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections of raw materials before production, as well as in-process and finished products using precision measuring tools. Perform functional and dimensional testing. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI)

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests and QA activities. Prepare and submit detailed reports. Document and maintain FAI reports. Prepare PAPP documentation, ensuring the manufacturing process meets customer specs. Utilize computerized production and inventory reporting systems to ensure accurate documentation of results

Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, AS9100, AIG, and APQP standards in all inspection processes. Prepare and maintain compliance documents. Stay updated on industry standards, ensuring continuous improvements

Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify and report quality issues to the Quality Manager. Collaborate with production team to install corrective actions and prevention of quality issues. Root causes and problem solving. Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve processes.

Training and Development: Assist in training production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques and proper documentation practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional technical training or certification in material science or a related field is a plus.

Minimum 3-5 years experience in quality inspection within industrial, automotive, or aerospace industries.

Certification from American Society of Quality (ASQ) such as: CQI, CQT or other relevant certification.

Thorough understanding of ISO 9000, APQP required.

Proficient in using precision measuring tools and testing equipment.

Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.

Experience with inspection reporting systems and PAPP preparation.

Keen eye, attention-to-detail, effective communication
