Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Conduct dimensional measurements using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems to verify product specifications.
- Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, and FDA regulations to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Interpret manufacturing and production documents, including mechanical blueprints and technical drawings, to confirm adherence to design specifications.
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments and ensure all tools are maintained within calibration standards.
- Analyze inspection data, identify root causes of non-conformities, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support quality systems by documenting inspection results, maintaining accurate records, and participating in internal and external quality audits.
- Assist in the development and review of quality control procedures related to manufacturing processes, including HACCP protocols where applicable.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001), GMP practices, and FDA regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in using measurement instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other precision measurement tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications.
- Experience in conducting quality audits and implementing quality assurance processes within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments and manufacturing best practices.
- Excellent analysis skills for identifying issues through data collection and measurement results; strong attention to detail is essential.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and statistical analysis of quality data.
- Ability to operate measuring instruments accurately and perform dimensional measurements with precision.
- Knowledge of Calypso software or similar quality management systems is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
