Quality Assurance Specialist – 2nd Shift

About the Role
CORECHEM Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you’ll perform daily inspections of production processes, incoming materials, and finished goods while working hands-on in both the lab and on the production floor. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and expanding our Quality Management System through audits, root cause investigations, and CAPAs , helping elevate quality standards across the organization.

Schedule
- Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Days: 5 days per week (40 hours/week)
- Break: 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Location: On-site daily
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily quality checks of materials on the production line
- Review production documentation for finished goods
- Process raw material Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
- Organize, file, and maintain Quality Assurance records
- Prepare and ship QA samples and retains
- Quarantine non-conforming materials and execute proper disposition
- Investigate customer concerns
- Perform basic chemical testing on compound batches in the lab
- Respond to quality issues in production and provide direction
- Inspect and authorize incoming bulk material deliveries
- Continuously improve Quality Management System processes
What You Bring
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or a similar field required
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality control/assurance required
Skills
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and time management
- Strong verbal, written, and reading comprehension skills
- Solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Comfortable working with computers and standard office/lab software
- Willingness to routinely handle a variety of chemicals
Work Environment
This role involves a mix of desk work, floor work, and laboratory bench work. Physical demands include standing, walking, and using hands daily, with occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting. Employees may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals; appropriate PPE and safety training are provided.
