Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will work closely with developers and product managers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to identify issues, create test cases, and ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
Perform manual and automated testing on various platforms including Android applications.
Utilize version control systems such as SVN and TFS to manage code changes and track issues.
Participate in Scrum meetings to provide updates on testing progress and discuss potential risks.
Identify, record, and track defects using appropriate tools while ensuring timely resolution.
Conduct regression testing to verify that existing functionalities work as intended after changes are made.
Analyze test results, report findings, and make recommendations for improvements based on data-driven insights.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies.
Requirements
Proven experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C for scripting test cases is desirable.
Experience with RESTful APIs testing is preferred.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, is advantageous.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail for identifying potential issues before they arise (vaticinate).
Experience with defect tracking tools and methodologies (rat).
