Job Overview
The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and packaging sold to consumers. The role focuses on maintaining product quality during manufacturing, preventing contamination, testing product attributes and packaging integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing facility sanitation. The technician will also lead and support lab technicians and sanitation staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership in food safety and quality systems.
Lead plant efforts on product safety programs and issues.
Conduct regular quality checks and educate production staff on standards.
Ensure ingredients and packaging meet specifications prior to use.
Maintain food safety standards within the facility.
Follow Give and Go’s quality and food safety standards.
Analyze and maintain product quality according to procedures.
Perform GMP audits and ensure compliance with company standards.
Ensure high product and packaging quality within budget guidelines.
Model safety practices in the workplace.
Recommend manufacturing practice improvements for product safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Recipe For Success
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
1-3 years of QA experience in food manufacturing.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
Ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
High energy, resilience, and integrity.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Skills Required
Team-oriented and independent work ability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation for travel within plant locations.
