Vickerstock are delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Cavan.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Food Science/Food Technology graduate or experienced food manufacturing professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and well-established environment.

The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll play an important role in ensuring products meet customer specifications and the highest standards of quality and food safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out product verification checks directly on the production line
  • Ensuring products meet customer specifications
  • Completing routine traceability checks
  • Investigating and reporting non-conforming materials
  • Preparing export pre-shipment reviews in line with DAFM requirements
  • Maintaining accurate product specification documentation
  • Completing production inspections using iAuditor
  • Leading GMP, Glass & Hard Plastic audits
  • Supporting internal audits and continuous improvement
  • Collecting and preparing samples for external laboratory testing
  • Carrying out quality verification checks across the abattoir, boning hall and bacon processing areas

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A proactive approach to quality and food safety

Hours

  • Monday – Friday | Rotating shifts
  • 5.00am – 2.30pm
  • 8.00am – 5.30pm

Occasional weekend work may be required during peak periods.
