Overview of the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened for a driven Quality Assurance Technician to join a dynamic manufacturing environment where innovation, efficiency, and excellence are at the core of everything we do.

In this role, you will be instrumental in strengthening quality systems and embedding Lean thinking across daily operations. You will help shape how we work by improving processes, enhancing product quality, and ensuring strong compliance with all relevant regulatory and industry standards.

You will take ownership of internal audit activities, lead investigations into non-conformances, and drive structured root cause analysis to ensure issues are not only resolved but prevented. Working closely with senior quality leadership and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development and rollout of quality strategies, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives that elevate performance across the site.

A key part of your role will involve working with data, tracking performance metrics, identifying trends, and producing clear insights that support decision-making. You will also support training and awareness programmes to strengthen a culture of quality throughout the organisation. From inspection processes to product release, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring standards are consistently met and exceeded.

Role Details

  • Full-time-Permanent position
  • Salary range: €35,000 – €40,000 DOE
  • Work location: Co. Kildare
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, No Weekends

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of Lean systems and quality processes to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead internal quality audits to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce quality issues
  • Manage non-conformances and support the effective resolution of customer feedback and quality concerns
  • Work closely with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality plans and SOPs
  • Contribute to the rollout of process improvements aligned with national and international quality standards
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality and operational performance
  • Prepare trend reports and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support and deliver quality training and awareness initiatives across teams
  • Maintain product inspection processes and ensure consistent product release standards

What We Are Looking For

  • A third level qualification in Science, Food Science, Engineering, Production, or a related discipline
  • Exposure to Lean principles, Lean Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement methodologies would be highly beneficial
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • A proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
