About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that high-precision components meet rigorous industry standards. By utilizing advanced measurement tools and technical documentation, you will verify product integrity and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections for incoming materials and finished goods to ensure full compliance with purchase orders and quality certifications.
- Analyze complex machined parts and sub-assemblies using precision instruments such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to validate critical tolerances.
- Document non-conformance reports and collaborate with engineering teams to develop effective corrective actions that prevent future defects.
- Maintain meticulous records of inspection results within ERP systems to support traceability and quality audit readiness.
- Ensure all inspection activities align with established aerospace or military quality management standards.
- Uphold a safe and organized workspace while performing physical inspections that require manual dexterity and visual acuity.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection within aerospace, defense, or precision machining environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft Office and ERP software platforms.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 35 lbs and passing required vision and color perception screenings.
- Must be eligible to handle export-controlled technical data and materials.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Experience with advanced vision systems or automated inspection equipment.
- Proven track record of participating in root cause analysis and quality problem-solving initiatives.
