POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our products. This position involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform regular inspections of materials, products, and processes during manufacturing
Document quality issues and work with the production team to resolve them effectively
Conduct tests and evaluations of products to ensure they meet specified requirements
Review and maintain quality assurance documentation and reports
Implement and support corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities
Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance procedures
Participate in internal audits and inspections
Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and procedures
Stay current on industry standards and best practices in quality assurance
Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Technical diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field
Experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred
Familiarity with fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP) is an asset
