Quality Assurance Technician (Day shift) Jobs in Phelps, NY at Z-AXIS Inc.
Position:
Z-AXIS, Inc., a growing manufacturer of electronic assemblies requires a Quality Assurance Technician.
Responsibilities Include:
– Develop process control plans, process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, work instructions and procedures.
-Apply SPC tools, compile statistical data, perform process capability analysis, calibration coordination, construct charts and graphs, creating FAI reports, and processing non-conforming material.
-Interface with customers and suppliers to identify areas for improvement and resolve existing quality related issues. Summarize and issue written reports as necessary.
-Participate in internal and external quality system audits.
-Utilize the corrective action process to improve departmental and business performance. –Assist in driving issues to closure.
-Initiate profiles and monitor internal inspection process database.
This is a crucial role within manufacturing. Our circuit board assemblies perform critical functions in medical, military, aerospace, and commercial applications.
Requirements:
-US Citizenship (we do some government work)
-A positive work ethic and attitude.
-ISO 9001:2015 experience.
– IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-J-STD-001 certifications preferred.
-Experience in electronics manufacturing inspection.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office.
-1 year Electronics experience preferred.
-Minimum High School diploma/GED. Associates Degree in Quality Control preferred, but not required.

Z-AXIS Inc. provides quality design, prototyping and contract manufacturing services for complex electronic products and electromechanical assemblies. These devices include LED drivers, sensing and measurement devices, laser drivers, machine controls, and electronic medical devices. We also design and manufacture commercial, industrial, medical custom power supplies under our Bear Power Supplies brand. We are centrally located between Rochester and Syracuse in upstate NY. We own our modern 32,000-square-foot design and manufacturing center and we are ISO9001:2015 certified. Z-AXIS has over 90 employees working in a single shift.
