Overview
DKW Communications is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our software team. The team provides custom web applications for ONRR, a federal bureau within the Department of Interior. The QA Engineer will work closely with the developers and end users to perform both manual and automated testing of software in a hybrid agile environment.
Duties:
Write test suites to validate functionality in the team’s bespoke web applications (eg. unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, visual regression tests, accessibility tests, stress/load tests, security tests)
Create reports that describe the output of test suites and their code coverage
Create Requirements Trace Matrices (RTMs) to document where each software requirement is being tested
Automate testing and reporting through build tools and CI/CD platforms (eg. webpack, vite, GitHub Actions/integrations, Azure)
Perform manual validation and testing as required
Experience/Qualifications
Required skills:
5+ years software development experience
Manual or automated testing of software
C#, Java, or other object-oriented languages
JavaScript
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Organizational skills
Preferred skills:
HTML & CSS
Vue, React, or similar frontend frameworks
Browser DevTools
Postman or other API testing tools
Selenium or other test automation tools
CI/CD pipelines
SQL or other database technologies
Git, DevOps, and related version control tools

Pay: $68,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
