Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support system testing, software process evaluations, and quality assurance initiatives. This role will involve test planning, automation, defect tracking, and ensuring the seamless integration of software applications. The selected candidate will work on-site in Tallahassee, FL, collaborating with development teams to enhance the quality and reliability of IT systems.
This position plays a critical role in the Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) Project, a statewide modernization effort impacting financial applications, interfaces, and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure software quality and functionality.
Plan and implement functional, system integration, regression, performance, and load testing.
Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, test results, and test coverage.
Document and analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Perform manual and automated testing, including writing test scripts and cases.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software meets business requirements.
Assist in software process evaluation and recommend improvements for business processes.
Identify potential risks and work proactively to resolve quality issues.
Research and recommend new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field.
Strong test case development and execution experience.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting.
Experience in DevOps environments is highly preferred.
Prior experience testing ETL jobs (Extract, Transform, Load) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture and system integrations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and SQL-based testing.
Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Understanding of cloud-based testing environments (Snowflake, Informatica, IICS).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment:
On-site role in Tallahassee, FL (Monday – Friday).
Flexibility to work between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Pay: $65,947.00 – $73,329.00 per year
