METER Group is seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual to fill a Quality Analyst I or II role. The Quality Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction through the management of non-conformances and corrective actions. This role involves evaluating products, processes, and services against quality standards and identifying areas for improvement, specifically by facilitating internal audits, managing non-conformances and related dashboards, responding to data requestions, and establishing and maintaining ISO 9001 certification. The ideal candidate is analytical, methodical, keeps the success of the company and teams in mind when building and implementing processes, collaborates well with cross-functional teams, and possesses excellent communication skills.
This role works on-site from our Pullman, WA office.
We anticipate filling this position in the salary range of $29.00 – $38.00 per hour (roughly $60,000 – $80,000 annually). We are open to reviewing candidates with more or less experience; the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our offer will be based on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough and systematic quality assessments on products, services, and processes to identify deviations from established standards.
Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to maintain consistent product quality and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality criteria and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for various projects and processes.
Facilitate regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Utilize various quality assurance tools and methodologies to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality trends and issues.
Identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Generate comprehensive quality reports, highlighting findings, trends, and recommended improvements to management and relevant teams.
Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the understanding of quality standards and practices among team members.
Participate in the design and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming materials and components meet established quality specifications.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and technological advancements related to quality assurance and quality control.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, Business) or equivalent work experience.
Experience as a Quality Analyst or in a similar quality assurance role.
Firm grasp of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools.
Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations (ISO, FDA, etc.).
Proficiency in data analysis, statistical analysis, and quality metrics reporting.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to build, document, manage, and teach effective processes that accomplish what they need to without creating unnecessary barriers for others.
Experiencing leading ISO implementation.
Work environment
Typical office environment with computer workstation. Some travel to client sites may be required.
Physical requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances as needed. Sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, and other movement consistent with office environments.
