Job Description:

The Test Quality Engineer is a critical hands-on role within the Corporate Quality team and interfaces regularly with our business groups and divisions to reduce manufacturing and product quality issues through cross-site collaboration and proactive propagation of best in class systems and techniques. This position requires a skilled and motivated data driven Engineer with >10 years of experience in semiconductor automated test including wafer sort and production final test for automotive and non-automotive products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various test HW (testers, probe cards and loadboards) and SW programming and debugging, e.g. Advanced Outlier Screening Techniques, algorithms and deployment (e.g. GDBN/ Good Die Bad Neighborhood, HVST/High Voltage Stress Testing, DPAT, SBL, etc.). This role will be critical in defining requirements and processes to meet demanding customer requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor/ Quality and Engineering, or relevant field,
>10 years of experience in Product or Test Engineering with hands-on knowledge with various ATE platforms and test methods/methodologies (inc. DfT) and instruments.
A solid foundation of semiconductor devices/physics, manufacturing experience including understanding of test failure modes and reliability concerns.
Strong knowledge of Automotive APQP, xFMEAs and Safe Launch methodologies to develop high quality products to meet customer expectations.
Hands-on experience with 8D problem solving, FTAs and Risk Analysis/Assessments.
Proven track record of driving and achieving results on committed timelines.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools. Familiarity with Exensio a plus.
Knowledge of test protocols and industry standards for various IPs (discrete, multi-chip modules, analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits, etc.)
Experienced in Advanced Outlier Screening Techniques, algorithms and deployment (e.g. GDBN/ Good Die Bad Neighborhood, HVST/High Voltage Stress Testing, DPAT, SBL, etc.)
Able to support, monitor and review statistical outlier detection procedures at probe/final test. This would include DPAT, GDBN, and spatial parametric clustering methods.
Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills including Design, Test, Product Engineering, NPD, etc.) to direct, guide and influence different aspects of product development.
Proven ability to collaborate or lead teams at multiple remote sites to achieve high quality results.
Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, with a curiosity driven problem-solving mindset.
Continuously learn and adapt to new tools and technologies quickly to improve test processes and outcomes, including the incorporation of AI.

Responsibilities:

Define or review process and characterization requirements, for NPD teams to follow during their product validation and execution for new products.
Drive state-of-the-art Design For Test (DFT) for test coverage and quality to insure smooth transition into mass production and continuous support for high yield and quality of manufactured products.
Help define and develop Test Method Libraries and workflows, thus enabling standardization and best practice sameness across products and ATE platforms. Preferred ATE platforms are Eagle ETS, Teradyne Flex, LTX Credence, etc.
Audit test programs to ensure comprehensive test coverage to verify compliance to data sheets, proper power sequencing & timing to prevent test program glitches, and identify any critical gaps. This includes test coverage reviews of new product releases and auditing of legacy products in mass production.
Ensure controls are implemented on commercial and automotive projects to meet ISO and AEC-Q100 standards. Review ‘escapes’ from lot disposition process and work to close any systematic gaps and share learning for continuous improvement.
Systematically apply lessons learned on existing products and new product development to continuously improve test quality (test methodology, workflow, hardware, software or fault coverage).
Establish and chair Test Quality Committee or Board to drive best Test Quality practices and standards across the company.
Support, monitor and review statistical outlier detection procedures at probe/final test. This would include DPAT, GDBN, and spatial parametric clustering methods.
Evaluate test monitoring & escape prevention software. Analyze large datasets to detect and control test stability issues; identify and contain systems and hardware with abnormal test results.
Provide technical support, 8D guidance, and participation in customer meetings (when required) for issues related to test coverage.
Establish and maintain corporate documentation of policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality test practices across company and with subcontractors.
