Quality Assurance Technician – Nights Jobs in Ennis, TX at Freshpet Inc
System and Quality Engineer this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems and
products throughout the development and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality management systems, perform risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. System and Quality Engineer have a strong background in system engineering, quality assurance, and a passion for delivering high-quality products to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collaborate with engineering teams to define system requirements, specifications, and standards.
· Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address potential issues during product development and manufacturing.
· Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues identified during testing and production.
· Lead quality audits and supplier assessments to ensure adherence to quality requirements and specifications.
· Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review project status, identify potential risks, and resolve quality-related issues.
· Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) and document control procedures.
· Monitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
· Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams on quality-related matters.
· Stay current with industry standards, regulations and best practices related to system engineering and quality assurance.
· Conduct field sea trial report and data collection on sea trial.
· Communicate with vendors and manufacturers.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.
Experience with schematics design, vision inspection systems, and industrial equipment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
Strong project scheduling skills to manage timelines effectively.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are required.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
