Quality Assurance Technician – Dayton, Texas

About Us
Insteel Industries, established in 1953, is based in Mount Airy, NC. We are the nation’s largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction, including prestressed concrete (PC) strand and welded wire reinforcement. We operate eleven manufacturing facilities across nine states.
About You
We are looking for driven, detail-oriented individuals who are valuable team members and key to our success. You will assist in testing raw materials and finished products, providing technical support to production and management. Position Responsibilities
Audit production procedures and report findings to QA management, supervisors, and the General Manager.
Sample and test raw materials according to ASTM standards.
Operate load measuring machines, micrometers, calipers, and other testing equipment.
Train production staff on quality testing equipment and standards.
Propose plans to improve quality performance for leadership approval.
Make decisions within standard methods and procedures.
Document all test results and sheets.
Identify potential quality issues.
Conduct various tests including diameter checks, efficiency tests, pull-out tests, and more.
Requirements and
Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to complete forms and understand written instructions.
Basic arithmetic skills.
Experience with testing equipment, computer skills, and communication skills preferred.
Minimum 3 months of relevant work experience preferred.
