We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician in our Mountaintop, PA manufacturing location.
Summary:
Responsible for inspecting and testing products or services to ensure they meet established quality standards by performing measurements, tests, and inspections, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities / Principal Duties:
Discrepant Material Request (DMR) and calibration activities support. Various support activities to assist Quality Manager in DMR disposition and calibration activities.
Incoming material inspection and customer complaint resolution activities support.
Various support activities in support of incoming material inspection, NPD projects, Special Projects and 1st Article Inspections of product. This may include working with Purchasing on DMRs related to incoming inspection of raw material. This will include being a part of the Weekly Quality Review meeting.
Process improvement support to include manufacturing procedures, work instructions, procedure development, in process testing, One Point Lessons, etc. This will include various activities to help support continual improvement, corrective actions, Blue Belt activities, and other Lean initiatives.
Internal ISO Auditing activity support including audit team membership and activities to help drive the internal auditing program. External audit activity support that may include, but not be limited to, audit support (for UL, FM, ICCES, Miami Dade etc…).
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
2 years of Manufacturing experience
Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, Etc)
General knowledge of metal working environment and equipment
Willingness and ability to carry out effective interdepartmental communication including, but not limited to, ISO Audits, DMRs, Engineering and Customer interface.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use, interpret and maintain QA-measuring instruments (measuring tapes, calipers, micrometers, other gages etc…)
Must possess the ability to effectively utilize computer software including, but not limited Process CRM Tickets & Reports, Excel Word, Power Point and dedicated QA software (DMR dbase, etc…
Complete knowledge of Part Drawings, Shop Sheets, ISO Tag and Production App’s
