This business make delicious food with care – and they’re looking for a Quality Technologist to help them keep raising the bar on quality, food safety and continuous improvement across their food manufacturing site.

We’re looking for a Quality Technologist to help drive food safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the chilled food production site.

Location: Somerset

Salary: £35,000 – £38,500 (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reports To: Technical Manager

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role supporting technical and operational teams. You’ll play a key part in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, including:

Driving action from customer feedback, complaints, and red flag systems

Leading and reporting on consistency panels

Supporting new machinery validation and release

Conducting process audits and following up on corrective actions

Leading technical elements of cross-functional projects

Supporting BRCGS and third-party audit readiness

Coaching teams to embed a quality-first mindset

What We’re Looking For:

Must-haves:

Experience in a chilled food production/manufacturing environment (ideally BRC A grade)

Qualification in Food Science or Food Technology (degree level preferred)

Strong complaint investigation and root cause analysis skills

Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams

Confident communicator and team player with strong project coordination skills

Bonus if you have:

Formal training in Root Cause Analysis

Internal audit or validation experience

A genuine passion for food and quality excellence
