As a QA Analyst, you will perform all testing activities required in each sprint to ensure that the quality of software being released into production is of a consistently high standard.
My client is currently migrating their legacy system over to a web-based policy administration system where they are building and delivering new products and features across the business.
Job Responsibilities
Working in an Agile environment, typically to sprints every two weeks, analysing requirements to ensure they are testable.
Creating feature files and collaborating with other areas of the business including Business Analysts and Developers.
Developing comprehensive and well defined test cases and test scripts and ensure traceability back to requirements.
Executing functional, non-functional, regression and integration test scripts.
Providing metrics for all testing activities including planning, preparation, execution, defects.
Participating in defect triage discussions.
Providing post implementation support to the Business.
Interrogating the underlying databases to extract test data and execute SQL statements to prove test results.
Education
ISTQB (or equivalent) Foundation Level certification is desirable.
Experiences
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a QA Analyst role, preferably in financial services and in product delivery.
Experience with eCommerce/Web solutions.
Experience and understanding of insurance products is desirable.
Experience working with JIRA and Test Management such asTestRail, TestPro and Zephyr would be of advantage.
Demonstrable experience of writing SQL scripts for data extraction and validation purposes.
Competencies
A sound working knowledge of General Insurance products, processes and systems/platforms would be of advantage.
Knowledge of API / webservice testing tools such as SOAPUI.
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to interpret user requirements, detailed technical and functional specifications and apply this information to plan, develop and execute test scenarios and scripts.
A good working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
