A world leading consultancy organisation is searching for a highly skilled QA Lead SDET to build and lead advanced test automation frameworks while driving quality standards across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop feature-rich, scalable test automation frameworks from scratch using object-oriented and scripting languages.

Utilise expertise in at least two programming languages from JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python.

Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to deliver clean, maintainable test solutions.

Collaborate within Agile teams to design and implement automated tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

Provide test assurance for user stories based on acceptance criteria in a test-first environment.

Work alongside Software Engineers to integrate testing activities into the agile delivery process.

Participate in estimations and team retrospectives, advocating for continuous improvement and best practices.

Manage Git repositories, lead code reviews, and resolve conflicts to maintain code quality.

Partner with Front-end developers to understand UI designs and address testing requirements.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure coverage of non-functional aspects like performance, accessibility, and security.

Conduct Web UI and API/microservices testing, including mobile and cloud-based applications.

Apply problem-solving skills and design patterns (e.g., SOLID, DI) to improve testing frameworks.

Implement and unit test frameworks, incorporating BDD/ATDD practices using tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.

Essential Experience:

Extensive experience building automation frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency in Web UI, API, and microservice testing across multiple domains, including cloud and web applications.

Skilled in working with command-line interfaces (Windows/Linux) and version control tools such as Git.

Knowledge of non-functional testing areas (e.g., performance, compatibility, security).

Desirable Experience:

Experience with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Webdriver.io (with strong Selenium experience).

Proficiency in CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab pipelines, or Jenkins.

Experience in AWS cloud environments and contract testing frameworks (e.g., PACT).

Background in consultancy and experience with mobile automation.
