About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Associate QA Engineer who is passionate about software quality and enjoys finding ways to improve products. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a curiosity for understanding how software systems work.
While prior professional testing experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a strong aptitude for testing, problem-solving, and learning modern web technologies.
Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure product quality.
- Verify bug fixes and validate new feature releases.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and quality discussions.
- Develop an understanding of modern web application architectures and testing methodologies.
- Contribute ideas to improve testing processes, automation opportunities, and product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile development practices.
- Familiarity with client-server architecture and REST APIs.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Technical Fundamentals
Candidates should have a basic understanding of:
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Web application architecture
- API concepts and HTTP methods
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Version control systems (Git)
- Software testing concepts and bug life cycle
Exposure to any of the following is a plus:
- Node.js ecosystem
- Next.js applications
- PostgreSQL
- Azure Cloud services
- Azure DevOps
- CI/CD concepts
- API testing tools such as Postman
- Test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
