Pay Range: $40 to $42/hr on W2 and $46 to $48 on C2C

Job Description

We are seeking a Test Lead to join our team and drive automation testing for a high-performance, consumer-facing connectivity platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Selenium-based UI automation, API testing, CI/CD integration, and agile QA practices and a proven ability to plan and execute automation strategy, mentor testers, and deliver reliable regression coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day QA and test activities across UI and backend automation projects.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and API tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Define test strategies, automation frameworks, and execution plans aligned with project goals.
  • Set up and manage test environments including Wi‑Fi test beds, automation infrastructure, and network emulators.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to clarify requirements and define test scenarios for early validation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent regression coverage.
  • Review automation code, enforce best practices, and mentor junior testers.
  • Track test progress, manage defects, and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Ensure coverage for edge cases, performance, and system integration points.
  • Travel as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software testing experience with a focus on automation.
  • Strong proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and Java or Python.
  • Hands-on API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
  • Experience creating or enhancing automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI and version control with Git.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Analytical problem-solving ability and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Houston, TX.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience testing Wi‑Fi systems.
  • Experience in the airline domain.
