JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a seasoned Test Lead to support a multiyear effort focused on modernizing and enhancing payment capabilities across instant payment rails, including RTP, FedNow, and Zelle. This individual will be responsible for leading the full testing lifecycle, including defining strategy, building detailed test plans, and overseeing execution across multiple systems and vendor platforms. The Test Lead will coordinate SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing efforts, ensure testing teams are executing effectively, and maintain strict quality standards throughout. This role will also own the end-to-end defect management process, including triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking, while partnering closely with third-party vendors to validate integrations and support certification efforts. The Test Lead will provide consistent reporting on testing progress, risks, and defects to stakeholders, and ensure all testing documentation meets audit and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to talk to different lines of business and understand the terminology from a digital perspective.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 7+ years of experience in QA or Test role within the banking/payments/finance industry
• Experience with real-time payments (RTP, FedNow, and Zelle)
• Experience leading end-to-end testing across SIT, UAT, regression,
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure DevOps and Azure Test Plans for test management.
• Strong communication skills and proven leadership experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors Understanding of digital banking
Pay Rate: $50 – $60/hour
*this is a 12-month contract role
