Midas Games, backed by $1M in funding, is an innovative and forward-thinking company developing skill-based real-money games — and we’re looking for a QA Game Tester to join our team.
Responsibilities:
1. Gameplay Testing:
Test level content, core mechanics, and secondary features to ensure proper functionality in all scenarios.
Verify consistent user experience across various devices and screen sizes.
Suggest improvements to enhance the overall player experience.
2. Cheat & Exploit Testing:
Identify and test scenarios involving tools like jailbreaks, emulators, or Cheat Engine.
Detect potential exploits and imbalances that may be abused by users.
3. Performance Verification:
Conduct FPS testing and analyze loading and runtime durations.
Test on low-performance devices and ensure playability.
Use tools like Unity Profiler to analyze performance in detail.
4. Feature Testing:
Validate current and newly developed mechanics, reward systems, and gameplay loops.
Input test data for new features.
Verify economic balance and proper mechanic functioning.
5. Environment & Connectivity Testing:
Ensure proper data transitions between dev/staging/production environments.
Test VPN, location-based, and offline scenarios.
Perform weak internet and unstable network condition tests.
6. Crash & Version Monitoring:
Monitor and report crashes using tools like Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry.
Test version updates and compatibility between releases.
7. Bug Reporting & Debugging:
Document bugs thoroughly and collaborate with developers for resolution.
Re-test fixed issues to ensure proper implementation.
8. User Support Awareness:
Follow up on user support tickets or redirect them to the appropriate team.
Monitor user feedback through App Store reviews, forums, and other channels to gather experience insights.
Qualifications:
Experience in manual game testing, with strong understanding of game mechanics and feature evaluation.
Highly attentive to detail and able to work methodically.
Proficient in tools like Crashlytics, Sentry, and Remote Config.
Familiarity with Firebase or similar backend platforms.
Strong analytical thinking and solid understanding of game mechanics.
